Wilmington Police Investigate Friday Shooting Incident

WILMINGTON, DE — The Wilmington Police Department announced it is currently investigating a shooting incident that took place on Friday at approximately 1:52 p.m. in the vicinity of West 4th and North Monroe Streets.

Upon their arrival at the scene, police discovered a 45-year-old female victim with gunshot wounds. The woman was promptly taken to the hospital, where she remains in stable condition. Additionally, a 54-year-old male victim arrived at the hospital independently, also suffering from gunshot injuries. He too is reported to be in stable condition.

As of now, this incident is still under active investigation by the authorities. The Wilmington Police have not yet released further details regarding the circumstances surrounding the incident but promise more information will be made available when possible.
