Wilmington Police Capture Teen Suspect in Vehicle Theft

WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police announced the arrest of a juvenile male in connection to a vehicle theft.

Authorities stated that on March 6, at approximately 8:00 a.m., members of Wilmington’s Uniformed Services Division responded to the 2400 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, in reference to a report of a vehicle theft. The case was assigned to Detective James Rook of the Criminal Investigations Division.

The investigation continued, and the efforts of Det. Rook led to the identification of a 17-year-old male juvenile as a suspect. On March 16, the suspect was taken into custody without incident.
He has been charged with the following offense:

  • Theft of a Motor Vehicle

He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and released on $2,000 unsecured bail.
