Wilmington Police Arrest Wanted Man on Drug Charges: Seize Heroin, Crack, and Cash

WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police announced the arrest of 38-year-old Tyrone Davis for drug charges after allegedly finding him in possession of heroin and cocaine. Davis has been charged with multiple offenses in addition to an active warrant.

The criminal complaint alleges that on May 9, at approximately 6:32 p.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division were on patrol in the 700 block of West 8th Street, when they observed a wanted subject. Officers conducted a pedestrian stop on 38-year-old Tyrone Davis, who was taken into custody without incident. Davis was found to be in possession of .3 grams of heroin, 10.2 grams of crack cocaine, and $427.

Davis has been charged with the following offenses in addition to his active warrant:

  • Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver – Two Counts
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance in Tier 2 Quantity

He was arraigned in New Castle County Superior Court and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $25,000 cash-only bail.
