Wilmington Police Arrest Man With Loaded Handgun and Tramadol Pills

WILMINGTON, DEWilmington Police have arrested a man on gun and drug charges.

Authorities state that on January 19 members of the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division executed a search warrant in the unit block of Stroud Street.  Police made contact with 25-year-old Eddy Gomez-Solano, who initially gave police a false name.  Following an investigation, police recovered a loaded .25 caliber handgun and 10 Tramadol pills.  Gomez-Solano was taken into custody without incident.

Gomez-Solano was charged with the following offenses:

  • Possession of a Firearm while also in Possession of a Controlled Substance
  • Criminal Impersonation
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance

He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $6,000 cash-only bail.
