Wilmington Police: Arrest Made, Loaded Gun Seized in Response to Threatening Incident on Bradford Street

WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police announced the arrest of a man on gun charges.

The criminal complaint alleges that on August 14, at approximately 3:19 p.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division responded to the 300 block of Bradford Street, in reference to a person with a gun. Upon arrival, officers made contact with 42-year-old Omar Core who was taken into custody without incident. Subsequently, officers executed a search warrant in that block and recovered a loaded 9mm handgun.

Core has been charged with the following offenses:

  • Aggravated Menacing – Two Counts
  • Terroristic Threatening – Two Counts
  • Failure to Identify Self to a Peace Officer

He was arraigned in New Castle County Superior Court and was released on $11,100 cash-only bail.
