Wilmington Police: Armed Suspect Found With Crack Cocaine

WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police announced the arrest of 47-year-old Tyran Davis on gun charges.

The criminal complaint alleges that on Friday, April 7th, at approximately 12:12 p.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division responded to the 200 block of N. Vanburen Street, in reference to a person with a gun complaint. Upon arrival, officers made contact with 47-year-old Tyran Davis, and recovered a .25-caliber handgun, and 2.0 grams of crack cocaine. Davis was taken into custody without incident.

Davis has been charged with the following offenses:

  • Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited
  • Possession of a Firearm with an Obliterated Serial Number
  • Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance

He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $30,000 cash-only bail.
