Wilmington PD Makes Arrest for March Robbery

WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police reported an arrest in connection with a robbery that occurred in March.

According to the criminal complaint, on the night of March 20, members of the Uniformed Services Division immediately responded to a robbery report from the unit block of West Lea Boulevard. The case was handed over to Detective Justin Wilkers for investigation, who after a thorough search and probe, identified Dustin Collins, age 39, as the prime suspect. Arrest warrants were obtained against Collins, and on May 2, he was taken into custody by the Uniformed Services Division without resistance.

Collins has been charged with the following offenses:

  • Robbery (First Degree)
  • Criminal Mischief Under $1,000

Following his arraignment in Justice of the Peace Court 11, he was remanded to Howard R. Young Correctional Institution. A cash-only bail of $60,100 had been set.
