Wilmington PD Arrest Man and Woman on Gun, Drug Charges

WILMINGTON, DEWilmington Police have arrested a man and woman on gun and drug charges following an investigation.

Authorities state that on October 8 at approximately 9:04 a.m. members of the Wilmington Police Department’s Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division executed a search warrant in the 500 block of West 6th Street.  Police made contact with 31-year-old Kevin Roane and 35-year old Tiara Brown.  Police recovered a .357 semi-automatic handgun, 46.1 grams of cocaine, 902 grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and ammunition.  Police took both subjects into custody without incident.

Roane was charged with the following offenses:

  • Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver in Tier 3 Quantity
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance in Tier 3 Quantity
  • Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited (2 counts)
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver
  • Receiving a Stolen Firearm
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance in Tier 1 Quantity
  • Conspiracy 2nd Degree
  • Endangering the Welfare of a Child
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $89,600 cash-only bail.

Brown was charged with the following offenses:

  • Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver in Tier 3 Quantity
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance in Tier 3 Quantity
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver
  • Possession of a Firearm while also on Possession of a Controlled Substance
  • Receiving a Stolen Firearm
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance in Tier 1 Quantity
  • Conspiracy 2nd Degree
  • Endangering the Welfare of a Child
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

She was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on $81,600 cash-only bail.
