Wilmington Man Arrested on Gun and Drug Charges

WILMINGTON, DEWilmington Police have arrested a man on gun and drug charges.

Authorities state that on September 10 at approximately 6:00 p.m. members of the city’s Safe Streets Task Force were in the 700 block of West Street when they made contact with 28-year-old Daquan Beulah.  Following a brief investigation, police recovered a loaded 9mm handgun, 88 ml of PCP, 3 Oxycodone pills, and $2,054 in currency.  Police took Beulah into custody without incident.

Beulah was charged with the following offenses:

  • Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver in Tier 3 Quantity
  • Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited (2 counts)
  • Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance

He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $160,250 cash-only bail.
