Wilmington Man Arrested After Brandishing Firearm


WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police announced the arrest of 47-year-old Michael Walker on aggravated menacing charges.

Authorities stated that on January 19 at approximately 3:16 p.m., police were dispatched to the 500 block of West 14th Street in reference to an individual who had brandished a firearm. Officers took Michael Walker into custody without incident, and recovered a loaded 9mm handgun.

Walker has been charged with the following offenses:

  • Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
  • Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
  • Aggravated Menacing – Three Counts

He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was committed to the Department of Correction on $15,000 secured bail.
