The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that pipe replacements are scheduled on state highways in Limerick and Towamencin townships, Montgomery County on Friday, February 24, through Friday, March 10, weekdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, as part of a project to address stormwater management.
The work locations are:
- North Lewis Road between Cherry Lane and D&L Drive in Limerick Township;Â and
- Route 63 (Welsh Road) between Grist Mill Drive and Orvilla Road in Towamencin Township.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays may occur. The schedule is weather dependent.
Highway Materials, Inc of Flourtown, Montgomery County, is the general contractor on this $14.9 million project, which is financed with 100% state funds.
