Attempted Carjacking in Philadelphia: Help Police Identify the Culprits

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Philadelphia Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the culprits in an attempted carjacking.

Detectives say that on May 18, 2023, at approximately 4:00 pm, the victim, a 63-year-old-male, was on the 2200 block of Trenton Ave seated inside his vehicle when an unknown black male opened the driver’s door and pointed an unknown object at him demanding him out of his vehicle and to give him the keys. After complying with the suspect’s demands the suspect got into the driver’s seat of the vehicle but was unable to start the vehicle. The suspect then got out of the victim’s vehicle and was last seen running south on Trenton Ave toward Susquehanna Ave. The suspects were operating a late-model Chrysler 200 sedan.
