Police Seek Help Identifying Suspect in Germantown Shooting Incident

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Philadelphia Police Department and the Shooting Investigation Group are asking for the public’s assistance for information in reference to a shooting that occurred at 3707 Germantown Ave.

Investigators say that on May 12, 2023, a 32-year-old male was on the sidewalk of 3700 Germantown Ave with his infant son when approached by an unknown black male. The two briefly exchanged words before the male fired six rounds from a semi-automatic firearm, striking the victim four times in the left leg. The victim was transported to the hospital and listed in critical condition.

The suspect is described as a black male with a full beard, a medium build, and was last seen wearing a dark baseball cap along with a gray hoodie bearing a large logo on the front and black pants.
