Wanted Man Arrested, Wilmington Police Recover Handgun

WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police announced the arrested of wanted 33-year-old Kareem Rollins on gun charges.

Authorities stated that on December 25 at approximately 3:53 p.m., police responded to the 900 block of North Pine Street for a person with a gun complaint.  Upon arrival, police attempted to make contact with Kareem Rollins.  Rollins fled on foot but was quickly taken into custody.  Police recovered a .380 caliber handgun that was reported stolen.  Rollins was found to have several outstanding warrants for his arrest.

Rollins was charged with the following offenses in addition to his outstanding warrants:

  • Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
  • Receiving a Stolen Firearm
  • Resisting Arrest

He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $8,000 secured bail.
