Wanted Man Arrested for Possession of Loaded Handgun

WILMINGTON, DEWilmington Police have arrested a man with outstanding arrest warrants on gun charges.

Authorities state that on January 8 at approximately 3:05 p.m., members of the Street Crimes Unit conducted a vehicle stop in the 1700 block of Church Street.  Police made contact with an occupant, 35-year-old Brandon Clark, and following a brief investigation, recovered a loaded 9mm handgun, and 3.81 grams of marijuana.  Clark was also found to have several outstanding warrants for his arrest.  Police took Clark into custody without incident.

Clark was charged with the following offenses in addition to his outstanding warrants:

  • Possession of Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited (2 counts)
  • Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
  • Possession of Marijuana

He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $60,100 cash-only bail.
