Wanted Elsmere Man Arrested After Theft From Motor Vehicle

WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police announced the arrest of 49-year-old Kenneth Adams of Elsmere, Delaware following a theft from a motor vehicle.

Authorities stated that on December 25 at approximately 6:51 p.m., police responded to the 200 block of North Market Street for a theft from a motor vehicle complaint.  Police quickly conducted an area search for the suspect and located Kenneth Adams in the 200 block of North King Street.  Adams was taken into custody without incident and police recovered proceeds from the vehicle.  Adams was found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest.

Adams was charged with the following offenses in addition to his outstanding warrant:

  • Burglary (3rd Degree)
  • Theft Under $1,500
  • Criminal Mischief Under $5,000

He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $3,000 secured bail.
