Viaduct Rehabilitation Scheduled at Night Next Week on U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Expressway) in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that construction will continue next week on U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Expressway) under a project to rehabilitate the Wayne Junction Viaduct in Philadelphia.

The work schedules and locations are:

  • Monday, August 28, through Friday, September 1, from 3:30 PM to 5:30 AM the following morning, periodic lane closures will be in place on southbound U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Expressway) between 17th Street and Fox Street; and
  • Monday, August 28, through Friday, September 1, from 8:30 PM to 11:30 AM the following morning, periodic lane closures will be in place on northbound U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Expressway) between 17th Street and Fox Street.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
