DELAWARE COUNTY, PA —The Southern Delaware County Authority has outlined plans for utility construction along Route 452 (Market Street) in both Upper Chichester and Lower Chichester townships. This essential project, set to commence on Thursday, May 9, and run through Monday, August 26, will introduce travel restrictions likely to lead to significant traffic backups and delays.

Specifically, motorists can anticipate a weekday lane closure on southbound Route 452 between Beech Street and Ridge Road, operational from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. This timetable is designed to accommodate peak travel times while still allowing for necessary construction activities to proceed efficiently. However, drivers are strongly encouraged to factor in additional travel time when planning routes through or near the affected area.

Given the nature of such projects, all scheduled activities are subject to favorable weather conditions, and adjustments to the timeline may be necessary. Motorists are advised to stay informed on the progress of the work and plan their travel accordingly to minimize impact on their daily routines.
