Unsolved Mystery: The 2015 Murder of Lisa McCrossan in Delaware

NEW CASTLE, DE — Detectives from the Delaware State Police Homicide Unit say they continue to investigate the death of 36-year-old  Lisa McCrossan of New Castle, Delaware. McCrossan was murdered in April 2015, and her case has yet to be solved.

McCrossan’s body was found on Sunday, April 26, 2015, at 5:31 a.m. near the east shoulder of River Road (State Route 9) between New Castle and Delaware City. McCrossan suffered trauma to her body and her death was ruled a homicide by the Division of Forensic Science. During the course of the investigation, detectives learned that McCrossan had been discharged from Christiana Hospital on Friday, April 24, 2015, at approximately 3:30 a.m. The following afternoon, a female pedestrian matching McCrossan’s description was observed by a motorist near the intersection of Pulaski Highway (US Route 40) and Appleby Road in Bear.
