Two Men Arrested With Loaded Gun and 409 Grams of Marijuana

WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police announced the arrest of 32-year-old Daniel Mcclain and 46-year-old Kenneth Chandler on gun and drug charges following an investigation.

Authorities stated that on February 15 at approximately 3:36 p.m., members of Wilmington’s Drug, Organized Crime and Vice Division were conducting an investigation in the 300 block of West 7th Street. Officers observed two male subjects engaged in drug-related activity. Officers conducted a pedestrian stop on both subjects, 32-year-old Daniel Mcclain and 46-year-old Kenneth Chandler, who were taken into custody without incident, and Police recovered a loaded 9mm handgun and 409 grams of marijuana.

Mcclain has been charged with the following offenses:

  • Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance in Tier 1 Quantity
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

He was arraigned in the New Castle Court of Common Pleas and released on $3,001 unsecured bail.
Chandler has been charged with the following offense:

  • Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon

He was arraigned in the New Castle Court of Common Pleas and released on $3,000 unsecured bail.
