Tree Clearing Planned at Night Next Week on I-76 West in Lower Merion Township

LOWER MERION TWP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that tree-clearing operations will occur at night next week on westbound Interstate 76 (Schuylkill Expressway) in Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County.

The work schedule and location are:

  • Monday, January 16, through Friday, January 20, from 11:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, westbound I-76 will be reduced to a single lane just west of the Gladwyne Interchange between Mill Creek Road and Waverly Road.

Motorists are being advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
