Tragic Pedestrian Accident Investigated By Ephrata Police

EPHRATA, PA — The Ephrata Police Department announced that a tragic pedestrian accident occurred Friday, March 17, at 3:03 PM, at the intersection of West Main and Church streets in Ephrata Borough.

Authorities stated that a 33-year-old female from Ephrata was struck by a pickup trucking left from North Church Street on to West Main Street. The pedestrian, who was pinned under the vehicle and drug over 100 feet, was freed by fire department personnel and transported to Penn Medicine–Lancaster General Hospital with serious injuries.
