Traffic Delays Expected Due to Utility Work in Montgomery County

UPPER FREDERICK, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced that utility construction will begin on Little Road in Upper Frederick and Lower Frederick townships, Montgomery County, starting Thursday, August 1.

From August 1 through December 30, weekdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, eastbound Little Road will be closed and detoured between Route 29 (Gravel Pike) and Perkiomenville Road. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Route 29, Route 73 (Big Road), and Perkiomenville Road. Local access will be maintained up to the work zone.

Motorists should expect traffic backups and delays during this period. Extra travel time is advised. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Prestige Property Partners LLC will carry out the utility work under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit. Drivers are encouraged to plan alternate routes and stay informed about traffic updates to minimize disruptions.
