Traffic Alert: Lane Closure on Route 29 for Repairs in Collegeville Borough, Montgomery County

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that they will conduct drainage and slope repairs on Route 29 (First Avenue/Second Avenue) in Collegeville Borough, Montgomery County from 7:00 PM on Friday, May 19 to 6:00 AM on Monday, May 22.

During this period, a lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Route 29 (First Avenue/Second Avenue) between Ninth Avenue and Main Street. In view of possible slowdowns in the work area, motorists are advised to allow extra travel time. All planned activities are dependent on the weather.

J. D. Eckman, Inc. from Atglen in Chester County is the general contractor for a $1.8 million project to repair state highways damaged by the remnants of Hurricane Ida in September 2021. The project is financed with 80% federal funds and 20% state funds.
