Tower Health Receives National Recognition for Exceptional Heart Attack and Stroke Care

WEST READING, PA  — Reading Hospital, Phoenixville Hospital, and Pottstown Hospital have each received two different national awards for their high-quality patient care.

Reading Hospital received the Gold recognition for its commitment to offering rapid, research-based care to people experiencing a specific type of heart attack known as a ST elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). STEMI is known to be more severe and dangerous than other types of heart attacks.

Phoenixville Hospital and Pottstown Hospital received the American Heart Association’s Mission: Lifeline® STEMI Receiving Center Gold Plus recognition.

All three hospitals were also nationally recognized for their commitment to providing high-quality stroke care. Each Hospital received the Get With The Guidelines – Stroke Gold Plus Award for proven dedication to ensuring all stroke patients have access to best practices and life-saving care.
