Three Arrested in Wilmington on Gun, Drug, and Robbery Allegations

WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police have arrested three males on allegations of gun possession, drug offenses, and armed robbery. The arrests, which occurred in late December, were the result of a comprehensive investigation by the Uniformed Services Division and the Criminal Investigations Division.

On Christmas night, police responded to an armed robbery report in the 2400 block of North Claymont Street. The victim alleged they had been robbed at gunpoint by multiple suspects. Detective Kevin Murphy of the Criminal Investigations Division was assigned to the case and subsequently identified Michael Sanders, 26, and Shalier Graham, 21, as potential suspects.

On December 28, police executed a search warrant in the 2600 block of Bowers Street and arrested Michael Sanders without incident. Shortly after, members of the Safe Streets Task Force and Gun Intelligence Unit conducted a vehicle stop and arrested Shalier Graham and a 16-year-old male juvenile, also without incident. Officers allegedly recovered a loaded .380 handgun, a loaded MAC-10 style 9mm handgun, .9 grams of crack cocaine, and .126 grams of heroin following a brief investigation.

Sanders and Graham have both been charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, first-degree robbery, and second-degree conspiracy. They were arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $122,000 cash-only bail each.

The 16-year-old male juvenile faces multiple charges, including possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, four counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition by a person prohibited, two counts of carrying a concealed deadly weapon, receiving a stolen firearm, and two counts of possession of a controlled substance. He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the New Castle County Juvenile Detention Center on $143,500 cash-only bail.
