PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Philadelphia Eagles have partnered with The Bellwether District, a 1,300-acre sustainable development in Southwest Philly. Hilco Redevelopment Partners (HRP), the developer behind The Bellwether District, specializes in transforming complex properties across the United States with their unique holistic approach centered around the community, environment, and economy. This new partnership will include community-based and sustainability-focused initiatives that work to ensure The Bellwether District and the Eagles continue to create positive lasting change in the City of Philadelphia.

The Bellwether District will also partner with the Eagles Girls Flag Football League of Philadelphia. The league, which started in March to increase access to girls’ youth sports, includes 16 schools from the Philadelphia Public and Catholic Leagues. The Bellwether District will help the Eagles identify opportunities to get donations and grants to support league participants, and also help expand the program.

Additionally, the Eagles and The Bellwether District are teaming up to launch a new sustainability initiative within the Eagles’ Go Green program. For every touchdown the Eagles score, The Bellwether District will invest in community cleanup programs throughout Philadelphia. Each year, the Eagles and The Bellwether District will also select a site within Philadelphia to take part in a community cleanup effort. This initiative will help to keep Philadelphia clean and green, while also promoting the Eagles’ commitment to environmental stewardship.

The partnership will see the Eagles Go Green program enhanced, with a focus on female participation in sport through the Eagles Girls Flag Football League of Philadelphia. “We are thrilled to team up with The Bellwether District and its developer HRP – a company that is equally passionate about giving back to the community and creating a more sustainable environment,” said Brian Napoli, Vice President of Corporate Partnerships, Philadelphia Eagles. “We look forward to enhancing the impact of our Go Green program and continuing to promote female participation in sport with HRP’s commitment to our Eagles Girls Flag Football League of Philadelphia.”

Roberto Perez, CEO of HRP, expressed his excitement at collaborating with the Philadelphia Eagles. “We admire how this legendary franchise shares the same core values of being a good neighbor to the residents of Philadelphia by prioritizing the community and the environment,” said Perez. “We hope to follow in their footsteps as we join forces on these winning programs – teamwork makes the dream work!” The partnership between HRP and the Eagles will include a series of initiatives focused on improving the local community and environment. These programs are designed to have a positive impact on the city of Philadelphia and its residents. Perez believes that by working together, the two organizations can make a difference in the lives of those who live in Philadelphia.
