LANCASTER, PA — The Lancaster Barnstormers have once again proven their mettle in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball (ALPB), clinching the second half title in the North Division for a consecutive year. This comes after last night’s decisive victory against the Staten Island Ferry Hawks.
The Barnstormers’ return to the playoffs is an opportunity for this formidable team to defend their title and seek their fourth Atlantic League Championship. This feat would solidify their place in ALPB history, which is currently celebrating its 25th anniversary season.
The team’s journey to the championship begins on Tuesday, September 19 at 6:30 PM at their home ground, Clipper Magazine Stadium. They will face off against the first half champion Long Island Ducks. The second game will follow the next night in Lancaster, with any remaining games set to be played at Fairfield Properties Ballpark in Long Island, beginning Friday, September 22.
Should Lancaster triumph over Long Island in the best-of-five series, they would then host the South champion (either High Point or Gastonia) at Clipper Magazine Stadium on September 26 and 27. Any subsequent games would be played in North Carolina starting Friday, September 29.
