Teen Arrested, Accused of Selling Heroin

WILMINGTON, DEWilmington Police have arrested a juvenile on drug charges.

Authorities state that on September 24 at approximately 5:15 p.m. members of the city’s Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division were in the 1100 block of West 3rd Street when they observed a 17-year-old juvenile male engaged in drug activity.  The juvenile fled on foot when police attempted to make contact with him.  Police were able to quickly take him into custody and recovered .182 grams of heroin.

The 17-year-old male was charged with the following offenses:

  • Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver
  • Resisting Arrest

He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the New Castle County Detention Center on $1,100 secured bail.
