Suspect Wanted for Robbery of United States Postal Service Mail Carriers

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Philadelphia Police announced they are investigating multiple robberies of United States Postal Service mail carriers.

Incident #1:

DC 22-26-045712

On December 2, 2022, at approximately 5:50 pm, a United States Postal Service mail carrier, a 56-year-old male, was on the 19xx block of E. Sergeant Street when an unknown light skin male approached the mail carrier and snatched the mail carrier’s keys from his waistband then fled.

  • Suspect Description: light skin male 6’0″ tall thin build.

Incident #2:
DC 22-26-046107

On December 5, 2022, at approximately 5:10 PM, a United States Postal Service mail carrier, a 56-year-old male, was sorting mail at Jasper and Cumberland Streets when an unknown Hispanic male approached him asking him for change at which point the mail carrier gave the male change. The mail carrier then went to the 2400 block of Jasper Street when the same male approached him and asked for more change. When the mail carrier told the male he did not have any change, the suspect grabbed the mail carrier’s pepper spray (oleoresin capsicum spray) out of his bag and started spraying him in the face demanding the mail carrier’s keys at which point the suspect grabbed the mail carrier’s mailbag then fled and was last seen west on Boston Street. This mail carrier believes this is the same male from both incidents.

  • Suspect Description: Hispanic male, wearing a black jacket with fur around the hood, dark pants, 6’0″.
