Suspect in Custody After Cutting Incident

WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police announced the arrest of 25-year-old Moises Guzman-Rijos following a cutting investigation.

Authorities stated that on December 20 at approximately 6:52 p.m., police responded to the 1100 block of Elm Street for a cutting that had occurred.  Police located a 28-year-old male cutting victim, who was transported to the hospital in stable condition.  Through investigative measures, police were able to identify Moises Guzman-Rijos as the suspect.  Arrest warrants were secured for Guzman-Rijos who was taken into custody without incident on January 2.

Guzman-Rijos was charged with Assault (1st Degree)

He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $60,000 cash-only bail.
