Suspect Arrested for Wilmington Burglary

WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police announced the arrest of 36-year-old Nelson Norman in connection to a burglary.

Authorities stated that on March 12, at approximately 7:50 p.m., members of Wilmington’s Uniformed Services Division responded to the 200 block of West 9th Street, in reference to a burglary. At approximately 10:19 p.m., officers located a subject matching the description of the burglary suspect. Officers conducted a pedestrian stop on 36-year-old Nelson Norman, who was taken into custody without incident.

Norman was charged with the following offenses:

  • Burglary (Third Degree)
  • Theft Under $1500
  • Criminal Mischief

He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $4,500 cash-only bail.
