QUARRYVILLE, PA — In a small-town shoe store, an unexpected drama unfolded as two sisters were arrested on allegations of retail theft and corruption of minors. The case continues to develop as further investigations reveal more about the duo’s alleged criminal activities.

On Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at approximately 5:22 PM, the Quarryville Police Department (QPD) received a call from employees at Good’s Store, a popular local business located at 333 W. 4th St. in Quarryville Borough. The employees reported witnessing two women, later identified as Monica Ico-Coc and her sister, Jenifer Ico-Coc, allegedly placing four pairs of shoes into their purses and leaving the store without paying.

The QPD responded swiftly, arresting the sisters on charges of retail theft, corruption of minors, and criminal conspiracy, all first-degree misdemeanors.

But the story did not end there. As detectives delved deeper into the case, they uncovered evidence suggesting that the sisters were allegedly responsible for the theft of five additional pairs of shoes from the same store in the days leading up to February 13.

As a result, Monica and Jenifer Ico-Coc now face an additional count each of retail theft, corruption of minors, and criminal conspiracy.

The sisters are scheduled for a preliminary hearing before the Honorable William R. Mankin II of Magisterial District Court 02-3-04 in Quarryville, PA. It remains unclear whether they have legal representation who can comment on the allegations.

As we follow this unfolding story, it is crucial to remember that these charges are allegations. In accordance with our judicial system, Monica and Jenifer Ico-Coc, like all defendants, are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Further details may emerge as the investigation continues, potentially altering our understanding of the events.
