Shots Fired: Wilmington Police Investigate Shooting on West 5th Street

WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police are actively investigating a shooting incident that occurred yesterday evening at approximately 7:42 p.m. Eyewitnesses report hearing multiple gunshots in the 1100 block of West 5th Street, where authorities then located a 21-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim’s condition was later deemed stable after being transported to a nearby hospital.

“Our team is working tirelessly to investigate this situation and bring those responsible to justice. Community safety is our top priority, and we encourage anyone with information related to this incident to come forward,” stated a Wilmington Police Department spokesperson.
