WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police announced they are investigating a shooting incident that occurred late on Friday night, in the 1000 block of West 7th Street. It was approximately 10:55 p.m. when an unidentified assailant discharged a firearm, leaving a 37-year-old male victim in critical condition.

According to the authorities, the motive is unclear at this time, and the case remains under active investigation. Wilmington Police have urged anyone with information to come forward and assist in solving this crime. Detective Brendan Wham can be reached at 302-576-3679.
