GREEN LANE, PA — Montgomery County Parks, Trails, and Historic Sites recently announced a series of public meetings and other interactive public feedback tools to inform the master plan update for Green Lane Park. All interested citizens are invited to attend and provide feedback.
Public input on potential improvements to enhance and protect Green Lane Park’s recreational amenities will be accepted during four public meetings over the next year. Park users can also provide feedback through completing an online survey, adding to a Wikimap, or contributing to the iNaturalist and eBird apps for Green Lane Park.
The second public meeting will be held as a hybrid meeting (both in-person and virtual) on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The in-person meeting will take place in Red Hill Fire Hall at 82 E. 5th St. Red Hill, PA 18076. Residents can check the County website for the virtual link and additional details and information. Additional hybrid meetings will be held in December 2023 and March 2024.
The County has retained Simone Collins Landscape Architecture of Norristown as the lead consultant and is being assisted by Resource Environmental Services, Seiler + Drury Architects and Patrick Stasio, CPRP, to assist the County in developing the plan.
The 16-month long public planning process for the master plan update began in January 2023 and will conclude in April 2024. The Master Plan project is partially funded by a grant from the Community Conservation Partnership Program administered by the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR), Bureau of Recreation and Conservation.
