CONCORD TWP, PA — Ever wanted to try your hand at painting? Maybe you’ve longed to try out a musical instrument, or experiment with a new craft. The public is invited to try it all out for free at the first-ever Fall Into the Arts Festival presented by Darlington Arts Center and Concord Township on Saturday, October 9th at Smithbridge Park, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

“It’s never too late (or too early!) to find the artist within you,” says Eric Thompson, Executive Director of Darlington Arts Center. “This is a great opportunity to discover your talent, or simply enjoy a great afternoon with your Delco neighbors. The doors are open to every art for everyone.

The perfect conclusion to Delco Arts Week, free activities include painting a fallscape with a Darlington Teaching Artist, with all supplies provided in an open-air pavilion.  A variety of interactive activities for kids will be offered including pumpkin and flowerpot painting, as well as the always popular Instrument Petting Zoo with Keep Music Alive’s professional and semi-professional musicians. The beloved Rose Tree Pops Orchestra will give inspiring performances as patrons shop from more than 20 local artisans and vendors, enjoy great food from Delco’s favorite restaurants and view original works of art available for purchase and gifting.
