Route 73 (Church Road) Closure in Cheltenham Township for Aqua Pennsylvania Utility Improvement

CHELTENHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that Aqua Pennsylvania will be performing utility construction on Route 73 (Church Road) in Cheltenham Township, Montgomery County, beginning Thursday, August 31.

The work schedule and location are:

  • Thursday, August 31, through Friday, September 1, from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, Route 73 (Church Road) will be closed at the intersection with Sinkler Road. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Route 152 (Easton Road), Route 309 (Ogontz Avenue), and Greenwood Avenue.

Local access will be maintained up to the work zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Aqua Pennsylvania will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
