Route 532 (Washington Crossing Road) Reopens After Flood Damage Repair in Upper Makefield Township

UPPER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that Route 532 (Washington Crossing Road) has reopened between Dolington Road and Wrightstown Road in Upper Makefield Township, Bucks County following flood damage repair. Route 532 (Washington Crossing Road) was closed Saturday night, July 15, during flash flooding from severe storms.

Additional bridge repair work will be performed during the day next week that will require a lane closure on Route 532 (Washington Crossing Road) between Dolington Road and Wrightstown Road on Monday, July 31, through Friday, August 4, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM each day. Traffic will be controlled by flagging.

A section of Taylorsville Road between Mount Eyre Road and Woodside Road in Lower Makefield Township remains closed to thru traffic while PennDOT’s contractor performs roadway, pipe and bridge repairs to safely reopen the highway.

Motorists will continue to follow the posted detour route. Local access will be maintained for Taylorsville Road residents and businesses up to the work zone.

On Thursday, July 20, PennDOT reopened a section of Taylorsville Road between Mount Eyre Road and Route 532 (Washington Crossing Road) in Upper Makefield Township following cleanup and roadway repair.

On Tuesday, July 18, PennDOT reopened Route 32 (River Road) between Woodside Road and Taylorsville Road in Lower Makefield and Upper Makefield townships following cleanup and roadway repair.
