Robbery Foiled: Delaware State Police Capture of Suspect at WSFS Bank in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, DE — Delaware State Police announced the arrest of a 30-year-old resident of Newark, Delaware for an attempted robbery that occurred at WSFS Bank in Wilmington on Thursday morning.

Kendall Davis has been charged with 2 counts of Attempted Robbery First Degree (Felony).

The criminal complaint alleges that on August 31, 2023, at approximately 10:24 a.m., troopers were dispatched to a report of a robbery at WSFS Bank located at 1700 Rocky Run Parkway in Wilmington. During the robbery, the suspect presented a note to bank tellers demanding money, but fled on foot prior to obtaining any cash. Responding troopers located the suspect, identified as Kendall Davis, at the intersection of Naamans Road and Concord Pike and he was taken into custody without incident. During the investigation, Troop 2 Robbery Detectives reviewed WSFS Bank video surveillance and confirmed Davis as the suspect.

Davis was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on a $120,000 cash bail.
