Road Work Alert: Lane Restrictions on Centerville Road in E. Hempfield Township, Lancaster County

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that night paving is scheduled for Sunday and Monday night on Centerville Road in East Hempfield Township, Lancaster County. Centerville Road will be restricted to a single lane with flaggers providing traffic control. There may be delays.

Weather permitting, paving will be performed on Centerville Road between Cornerstone Drive and Route 462 (Columbia Avenue) from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM on the nights of Sunday, September 24, and Monday, September 25.

There will be lane restrictions in place with flaggers directing traffic through the work zone. This may cause delays so motorists should plan extra time for their travels.

In addition to the lane restrictions on Centerville Road, Cornerstone Drive will be closed during part of this work Traffic will be able to access Cornerstone Drive from Stone Creek Road and Pine Bridge Lane.

The Centerville Road Interchange Improvement project includes structure replacement, roadway widening, guiderail improvements, drainage enhancements, and more. It covers Centerville Road from Cornerstone Drive to Marietta Avenue, and Marietta Avenue from Centerville Road to Stony Battery Road.

JD Eckman, Inc., of Atglen, PA is the prime contractor on this $36.3 million project. Work is expected to be completed by July 22, 2025.
