Reward Offered in Philadelphia Homicide Investigation

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Philadelphia Police Department Homicide Unit is looking to identify the individual depicted in released surveillance video excerpts. Moreover, the City of Philadelphia is offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in this case.

Detectives are investigating the shooting death of a 77-year-old male that occurred on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at about 5:33 AM in the rear alley of the 4200 block of “L” Street. After running up to the victim from behind and shooting him in the head the suspect continues running northbound through the alley towards the 1300 block of Bristol Street.

The suspect is described as a light-complected male of unknown race wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, grey shorts and red athletic shoes.
