LANCASTER, PA — Lancaster City/County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1000 for information leading to the arrest and/or conviction of the person responsible for a shooting that left four people injured.
Authorities state that on July 3, 2021, at approximately 2:13 am, officers from the Lancaster City Bureau of Police responded to the 1st block of W. Orange Street for a reported shooting. Upon arrival, officers located multiple casings in the 1st block of West Orange Street, Lancaster. Three adult males and an adult female had been transported in private vehicles to a medical facility for gunshot wounds. All of the victims were treated at the hospital and have since been released.
Detectives from the Lancaster City Bureau of Police Violent Crime Unit have been actively investigating this incident. They have interviewed numerous witnesses and reviewed video footage obtained from cameras all around the area.
Investigators learned that the shooting occurred shortly after bar closing and there was a disturbance before the shots were fired. Detectives are still investigating what led to the shooting and believe there may have been more than one person firing shots. It is unclear if all of the victims were intended targets or were mistakenly struck by gunfire intended for someone else.
Detectives continue to make progress with the investigation, however no subjects are in custody related to this incident. Detectives are aware that there were dozens of individuals outside Catalina’s, on the sidewalk or in the street nearby at the time of the shooting. Some of these individuals may have been eyewitnesses or possibly could identify the person(s) involved in the shooting.
