PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that construction planned this weekend on U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Expressway) for application of an epoxy overlay on the recently rehabilitated Wayne Junction Viaduct in Philadelphia has been rescheduled due to weather.
The work schedules and locations are as follows:
- Saturday, September 30, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 AM Sunday, October 1, a single lane closure will be in place on northbound U.S.1 between 9th Street and Fox Street; and
- Sunday, October 1, from 3:30 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, two lanes will be closed on southbound U.S.1 between 9th Street and Fox Street.
- Monday, October 2, and Tuesday, October 3, from 3:30 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, two lanes will be closed on southbound U.S. 1 between 9th Street and Fox Street; and
- Wednesday, October 4, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 AM the following morning, a single lane closure will be in place on northbound U.S.1 between 9th Street and Fox Street.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through or near the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
