Reading Police Investigating Fatal Shooting on 6th & Penn Street

READING, PA — The Reading Police Department Criminal Investigations Division recently the following information relating to the Shooting Investigation that occurred on November 22, 2021:

Authorities state that on November 22 at approximately 1:20 pm, officers responded to the area of the 500 block of Penn Street for the report of a shooting. Their investigation determined that there was some type of altercation that led to the victim receiving multiple gunshot wounds to the chest. The victim, a 30 years old male from Exeter, was transported to Reading Hospital, where he later died of his injuries. The suspect is described as an unknown male last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and grey sweat pants last seen running from the scene.
