Public’s Help Sought in Identifying Strong-arm Robbery Suspect

READING, PA — Authorities are asking for the public’s help in identifying a Reading strong-arm robbery suspect.

The Central Berks Regional Police Department is attempting to identify the male in the attached photographs. On Monday, June 7, 2021, at approximately 4:00 pm, the pictured male suspect is accused of assaulting and attempting to rob a 73-year-old male victim while he was pressure washing his residence in the 1900 block of Fairview Avenue in Mount Penn Borough.

The suspect caused serious facial injuries to the elderly victim. Witnesses observed the suspect coming from and fleeing to the 1800 block of Cotton Street / Perkiomen Avenue area in the City of Reading before and after the incident.
