Polices Seek Suspect in Catalytic Converter Theft

MORGANTOWN, PA — The Caernarvon Township Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect and vehicle used in the theft of two catalytic converters on May 30, 2021.

Authorities state the two catalytic converters were cut from a 2014 Ford F250 parked on the lot of the Morgantown Classic Auto Mall, 6180 Morgantown Rd, Morgantown, Berks County, PA on Sunday between 10:48 am and 11:03 am.

The suspect vehicle is described as a 2000’s White GMC Savana Cargo Van, with padlocks on the passenger side cargo door and the rear cargo door. The vehicle also has a white roof rack. The vehicle appeared to have the plate either removed or covered.

The suspect is believed to have been dressed in black pants and a black hoodie.
