Police Seize Firearms and Drugs in Wilmington Raid

WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police announced the arrest of 29-year-old Daquane Coursey on gun and drug charges following an investigation.

According to the criminal complaint, on March 17, at approximately 11:48 a.m., members of the Safe Streets Task Force, along with members of Wilmington’s Street Crimes Unit, and the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division, executed a search warrant in the 800 block of North Pine Street. Police took 29-year-old Daquane Coursey into custody without incident. Police recovered a loaded .38-caliber handgun, and 57.7 grams of marijuana.

Coursey was charged with the following offenses:

  • Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited
  • Possession of a Firearm with an Obliterated Serial Number
  • Possession of Marijuana

He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $31,000 cash-only bail.
