Police Seek Help Identifying Suspect in Arson Attempt on Rittenhouse Square

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Philadelphia Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying the individual seen in a released video clip.

Detective D’Sigoly with the Central Detective Division on June 16, 2023, at approximately 4:09 am, an unknown black male placed a cardboard box against the front door of a residence on the 2200 block of Rittenhouse Square and lit it on fire. The complainant was able to stomp the fire out and no injuries were reported.

The suspect is a black man with a medium build. He was last seen dressed in light-colored pants and a light blue T-shirt, sporting black and white sneakers and a black mask.
