Police Seek Help After Attempted Carjacking in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Philadelphia Police are currently seeking the public’s help after a recent carjacking attempt on the 2700 block of Parrish Street.

The incident took place on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at around 2:45 PM. According to reports, the victim, a 37-year-old male, was approached by two black males while getting into his parked car. The suspects had their hands in their pockets, pretending to have a weapon, and demanded the victim to get out of the vehicle. Fortunately, the victim was quick-thinking and managed to drive off, leaving both suspects behind.

Suspect #1 is described as a black male in his teens, with braided hair, 5’5″, and wearing all black. While suspect #2 is a black male in his teens, 5’5″, with a thin build, and wearing all gray clothing.

The police are asking anyone with information to contact Detective Waring of the Central Detective Division by calling 215-686-3093.
